| I have been using Brita filters for over six years now and I have nothing but the best to say about them. Living in a part of the country where the tap water contains impurities resulting in poor taste, at first I resorted to bottled water. Besides being hard on the old wallet, I found that some brands had a burnt aftertaste to them. So I tried Brita. I was amazed at how it improved the taste of ordinary tap water. It tasted better than some bottled water I had been purchasing and it was crystal clear. I have been using Brita ever since. The only drawback initially is the cost of the pitcher, but once you have it the only other cost are the filters that are readily available at most stores. Each filter lasts about 40 gallons, which translates into getting bottled water quality for seventeen cents per gallon. |

| In California the water tends to be very hard. I purchased an under the sink two stage water filtration system and thought the problem would be solved. The water still tasted bad so I bought a Brita pitcher filter. Unbelievable! It tasted so good. I think it's because each filter has silver oxide particles mixed in with the charcoal and it softens the water very well. I wish I would have tried this filter first. Since moving to the east coast I still find that these filters do a great job at making the water taste as good or better than bottled water at a fraction of the cost. |

| The Brita filters are an excellent lower-end water purification system. They work quite well in most cases and these new filters come with a guide that indicates when it is time to change the filter. This is a marked improvement over the old method of going by calendar days based on the number of times you fill the pitcher per day. |

| I have been using this system for a couple of years now. Here's a tip to get rid of the little black particles... If you make sure to keep the water level above the level of the filter at all times, the carbon particles will not get into your water! Good luck! |

| Softens my hard water and makes tap water tasty. Be sure to soak filter prior for half a day prior to using. Keep enough water in the Brita container to keep at least part of the filter WET at all times. If you do these 2 things the filter works amazingly well. I use the filtered water for cooking and brewing tea and coffee (just like Starbucks does). I won't go back to plain tap water ever again! 3 filters seems to last about 3 months. No more lugging bottled water home from the store!!!! |

| I love Brita filters (and the jugs) for the taste (or the lack of it) that it gives my tap water. I use it all the time and when I accidentally drank a glass of unfiltered tap water, I could taste the difference! These filters are such a great deal on Amazon and the only complaint I have is not knowing when to change the filter. Didn't the Brita filters use to have a dial that points out when to change to a new filter? |

I have always filtered my water for drinking and cooking. This Brita filter work excellent. My water always tastes great. It removes any traces of chlorine and bleach.
Sometimes we have to use cistern water and it cleans it nicely.
If you love great tasting water, get the Brita filters and pitchers. |

Own a Brita? Do these fit yours? Then this is what it comes down to. Economy. Three here are cheaper than one.
I mark the box flap with the date I replace each filter, and two months later, I replace the old with the new. Three will get you six months. As you close in on month six, buy a new box.
Complicated? Not at all. If this three-pack is cheaper than at the megamart, buy them. Otherwise, get these here.
I fully recommend the Brita Pitcher Replacement Filters.

I'd run out of filters some time back and kept meaning to pick up more. I'd decided to look on Amazon and found a price of $40.50 for a 10-pack, which was less than in the local stores I'd checked. A couple days passed before I actually went to place an order and was delighted to find the price for the 10-pack had been reduced to around $35.00. I couldn't argue with that! The order arrived within a week and the first filter's been doing what it's supposed to do. That's all I can ask of an item.
When I purchased my Brita pitcher some years back, it came with a gauge that attaches to the top of each filter and indicates when it's time to replace the filter. No one else I know has one. I recommend it highly. The gauge works (through hydraulics, I guess?) and I rely on it in addition to the taste of the filtered water to remind me to change the filter. |

| My husband takes care of replacing the filters but it certainly looks easy. I rate the taste and quality of the water as high as an RO system (which needs a service call yearly to replace filters) We have two pitchers we keep refrigerated and we drink a considerable amount daily because we live in Phoenix, Az. where drinking water is very necessary. |

| I live in a town where the water tastes terrible....I'm sure its probably heathly with all the bleach they put in but I cannot stand the taste...I have used Brita filters for over a year and they work great...the bad taste is gone and if there is any toxins I'm sure Brita took care of them too..Buying Brita filters is cheaper than buying bottled water...and besides you don't know where that water actually comes from! |

| Lived in Miami. The water there is hard, contains chlorine, flouride, lead and other harmful materials. We purchased the water cooler from Brita after spending hundreds of dollars for bottled water. Brita's water cooler uses 2 pitcher cartridges and the water tastes better than the leading bottled water. 4 years later and we still use it. Highly recommended by my family. |

For those who gave up bottled water but want better taste than tap, Brita filtered water is a good option. In most places the 3-packs are way overpriced and the 10-packs are hard to find. Costco carries them but otherwise I have only found them online. As each one should be replaced in 2 months, this is nearly 2 years worth of filters. If you have a friend who also uses Brita, get the 10-pack and split the cost. (The box contains 2 boxes of 5 filters each, so there isn't even any fooling around with opening packaging). Gives each person 1 year's worth of filters at a decent per-filter price.
p.s. My only beef with Brita (Clorox-owned now)is that the filters are not recyclable. Supposedly the filters the company sells in Europe have been modified to be recyclable. They should do that here too.
